ANIMATHEQUE nr. 7 presents animations by Miloš Tomić

Next ANIMATHEQUE takes place on the 30th March at 18:00 in Kumu auditorium (Weizenbergi 34, Tallinn) where animator and artist Miloš Tomić from Serbia presents his animations and works by other filmmakers that have inspired him.

Miloš Tomić (1976) has graduated film directing in the University of Art in Belgrade and later studied multimedia animation in Prague Film and Television School. From 1995 to 2002 he participated in the unique radio-programme „Beautiful Rhythm of the Heart“ on B92 radio, Belgrade. Besides filmmaking he is collecting different discarded items and making collage. Currently he is writing his doctoral thesis on "Preciousness of discarded objects, i.e. trash as the material for film, photography..." His warm-hearted pixilation Clay Pigeon (2005) received Jury’s Special Mentioning at Animated Dreams festival in 2006. At Animatheque his other humorous pixilations will be screened as well as few films that have inspired his works.

Animation Film Festival Animated Dreams in co-operation with animation department of the Estonian Academy of Arts is organizing monthly screenings of animated films in the auditorium of Kumu Art Museum (Weizenbergi 34, Tallinn). The series of animation events ANIMATHEQUE brings artistic animation to a wider public, outside of the festival Animated Dreams. Once a month, the public can meet an animation director from Estonia and abroad.
